I've noticed and have been giddily pleased by the fact that I have new friends in my "circle" here. Some are familiar faces to me and some aren't, but welcome to everyone. =) *waves*

I want to let everyone know, however, that I've been slow in finding my DW footing, and I am figuring out ways to balance my DW and LJ. (Things have been stressful and busy in my life, so I've fallen behind on working out my DW business, really.)

So, for those of you who have LJs and are interested in reading any of my posts, it would be best for you to add me there. I'll get settled here eventually, but LJ will probably remain my primary platform (though I hope to get into the swing of crossposting and all that), even though I'll get into the DW thing more once I have more time to get properly settled. If I am in your circle here, but don't comment on your posts, it's not because I don't find your posts interesting, but because I'm probably not reading my DW flist regularly yet. This isn't relevant, of course, for those of you who already crosspost to your LJs and have added me/given me access to your LJ posts.

Just wanted to let you know, dear flist, especially so I can properly connect with new friends. =) I'll just toddle off now.

EDIT: Like the exhausted person I am, I forgot to add my LJ username: "shutterbug_12" there.

As the image says, I'm going on a hiatus. Sort of. Let it be absolutely clear that I love my whole f-list, and I will be back, but I hope you all understand that I need to step away for a couple weeks. Until the 17th (I may revise this date if it becomes necessary), I will not read my f-list. I will, however, continue to post. I have my photographs of the day and regular life posts. I'm working on the drabbles/ficlets I owe people from the meme, so I'll post those (perhaps in batches) as they're completed. I'm in the midst of setting up a couple communities on Dreamwidth and one on LJ. I'll continue with those. If I feel up to it, I'll tag in my RPGs (lately I've been too stressed out and have had a hard time concentrating on it). I'll be checking my email, so I'll be around, and will reply to comments and PMs (if anyone cares to message me), and will be around in chat, for those of you who have my AIM or GoogleTalk user names. (If you don't and would like to chat, just ask.)

While I'm sort-of-gone, feel free to comment to this entry with links you are certain I'd like to see. Amusing real-life entries. Photographs of the day that you've taken (or, if you're doing it, those days-in-the-life-of photos). Important life events. Etc., etc. Once I begin reading my f-list again, I won't back-track to 'catch up' on what I've missed, so don't hesitate to link me to entries you believe I wouldn't want to miss. Please do not link me to House-related entries. The only exceptions are: stories and art that you are absolutely 100% certain that I would enjoy, or drabbles/ficlets that I specifically requested from people. Please no links to episode reactions/discussion (though, that's something I may go back to in time, but I'll find the ones I care to read myself later), spoilers, picspams, graphics, etc.

I hope everybody stays well for the next couple weeks. I'll miss you all more than you can really know, but this is something I need to do for a short while. I love you guys. (To those of you who just added me recently, sorry about this. I'm not a crazy weirdo, I swear.) Please don't forget about me. I'll be back soon. ♥ ♥ ♥
Is anyone else having a hard time importing their journal to Dreamwidth? I've been trying for 12 hours and it hasn't finished yet. I don't know what the problem is. It got my icons and my tags, but not the entries in this journal, or the comments, as far as I know. Anyone else having this problem?

Also, I'm "shutterbug" there. I've lost track of who has a DW now and who doesn't, so please, feel free to add me there. <3

Seen all over by now.

The first ten (10) people who comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal (unless they really would rather not).

Give me a prompt, too, if you'd like. If you want anything from any of my 'verses please specify. (Note: I'm terribly bad at keeping exactly to the 100 word limit of a drabble, so it may be more like a ficlet, depending on what I turn out. But at least a drabble for all of the responses.)

I'm ready for my kick-starts. I believe I need them. =)

Edit: So I'm weak, and really want to hold to these, and write MOAR more, and prompts are incredibly fun, so...I'll take five more. =)
Have you guys seen this? I've seen these movies pictured here dozens of times and I never really noticed this. Exact copies of entire sequences. I was a little shocked, actually, not because I think it was horribly wrong to do (which I don't), but because I just never realized! Check it out!

I can has Dreamwidth. Excellent.

I'll make this pretty later. I haven't decided how I'll use this yet. But I'm glad to be here amongst you all. Hee.
RP has been amazing lately, my God. Guys, it was intense! The other day, [livejournal.com profile] wooedforyears was so intense, with yelling and shouting, and boundaries being crossed! fdhaskjfaslkjfdsafhas Caring-but-not-caring. And awkward sex! And in-your-face confrontations. Such good stuff.

And then. Oh, my God. [livejournal.com profile] still_fits made me hurt so much it nearly killed me. House and Stacy having a fight and releasing the hurt and bitterness and issues surrounding the time when Stacy left. All of it that has been five years coming, and God. Unresolved issues and things that never had a chance to be said, and GUH. fhadsbfaskhfadslfh Amazing. Those tags bring such history to this RP. Memories surfacing. Tons of backstory. So much hurt and things coming out and dealing with new problems. They can't get a damn moment of peace and happiness, but they're trying and, man, it's so great. So. Fucking. Great. Stacy's emotions are so complicated, and it's so great to have that to play off of. I just lose myself playing House, and (anyone who RPs knows what I'm talking about here) really feel his reactions, and emotions, and hear him talk out loud and what goes on in his head, and every little action he makes. Guh. That thread, which officially begins to break off into AU territory, where issues have been exploding all over the place, has made me hurt. Things get pretty damn amazing and intense right around here. Made me all achy in my chest so much, but God it's good. AND IT'S SO PAINFUL. GAH. BUT IT'S GREAT.

And now Stacy has RE-MET STEVE! *giggle* And she's so going to give in because Steve was like, a little matchmaker and didn't know it! *grin* And IT'S CUTE. HEE! And soon there will be what-to-do about people finding out and her job and MOVING IN: PART II. TEEHEE. jfdsahadskjhfadsklfhadslfkhsadbfhas

AND WE MADE A FLAILY SQUEE COMM! AND PEOPLE JOINED! AND COMMENTED! AND POSTED! AND FLAILED WITH ME, GUYS! HOW COOL IS THAT? AND IT IS HERE:

And we also have a squee comm for [livejournal.com profile] wooedforyears, which is here at [livejournal.com profile] wooedsquee! Also filled with awesomeness! HEE! IT'S ALL JUST SO HAPPY-MAKING! GETS ME THROUGH MY DAYS SOMETIMES, AND I'M NOT EVEN JOKING. =D

Lingering Shadows )
Decided to post more thoughts, because I seem to have them. This was originally written in comment form, so it may seem somewhat choppy, and it's still not everything that I've had to say about this episode, but it's a start. I keep telling myself it's okay if I don't write meta on the entire season based on the newest episodes, but here are my thoughts anyway. I'll probably edit this if I feel compelled to add more.

More serious thoughts on 5.20, Simple Explanation. )

So I say bravo for this episode. I didn't feel like this was lazy writing at all, and I thought the choices across the board were good ones. Bravo, I say. Bravo.

TITLE: Down Memory Lane
AUTHOR: [livejournal.com profile] shutterbug_12, with contributions by [livejournal.com profile] queenzulu
PAIRING: House/Foreman, House/OMC
RATING: NC-17
SUMMARY: In the process of disproving Foreman, House gets caught on memory lane.
DISCLAIMER: Don't own them. Make love, not lawsuits.
NOTES: Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] queenzulu for the approval and help. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] cryptictac for the quick look-over. Concrit and general feedback is love. 1797 words.

Foreman, despite what he might think, couldn't always distinguish between House's real threats and his bluffs. )
Welcome to the feedback post for [livejournal.com profile] still_fits. [livejournal.com profile] queenzulu and I ([livejournal.com profile] shutterbug_12) started this game because we had a story to tell, and thought it would be fun to tell it together this way. It's more of a collaborative serial fic project, and we'd love to hear any feedback or thoughts our readers/watchers have. No obligation, of course, but if you'd like to, here's the place! Feel free to give us general feedback, or keysmash, flail, spread the House/Stacy love, discuss, picspam--anything you like. We really do appreciate feedback and your thoughts. And, of course, thanks for following along! We hope you're enjoying it as much as we are!

Title: [livejournal.com profile] still_fits
Players/Characters: [livejournal.com profile] shutterbug_12 as House, and [livejournal.com profile] queenzulu as Stacy
Summary: Greg had pushed Stacy out of his life once. She knew what that felt like. And she knew that she never wanted that to happen again. You love me more wasn't Greg's way of convincing her to stay. It was his way of saying I still love you. She was on the brink of a cliff and, whether she had wings or not, she was about to leap over the edge.
Notes: Click here to watch! There is also a feedback post here, if anyone is ever interested.

This began as a long, partially plotted post-Need to Know AU story, but it has since become an RPG. It's very much a serial, collaborative fic-project, covering the period between 'Need to Know' in the second season through (and probably slightly past) the finale of the fourth season, with threads operating as 'chapters' in a much larger story. I'm thrilled to be a part of it; it's off to a wonderful start already, and it's such a pleasure to play with Zulu, as always. It was something I was thinking about for months and months, and I'm so happy to see it materialize into a project like this. If you have a look, thank you! If you decide to watch, even more thanks! I hope you enjoy following it as much as we enjoy writing it!
